Here's a game I created with simple controls in mind. It was intended to work with a touch screen on a mobile phone. The game uses a momentum based "Swoop" mechanic that allows you to gain height depending on how far you have fallen before you go back up. With practice you're capable of becoming quite adept at controlling the penguin. Points are only earned by flying between the obstacles though you are allowed to go around them if you feel you can't make it.

I used C# utilising the inbuilt Unity library to create this game. Code wise, The swooping mechanic isn't terribly complicated but it was a challenge to try and work out the best mathematical procedure to create something relatable with real world physics and still retain a fun aspect.

I'm particularly proud of programming the stage generation and random generation of cloud placement, it was something I had seen in many games but being able to understand the process behind it was a rewarding experience. Some of the more notable things I've learnt through this exercise included the possible rounding errors that can occur in programming and some of the procedures I can take in order to quickly debug a program.

Here's a blog I created using the ASP.NET MVC system, The languages I used in this project were Razor CS-HTML, Javascript and primarily C#

Getting the code to a level suitable for my needs was a good learning experience but it was only after I experimented and molded the code into something more personalized that I really understood what ASP.NET MVC was capable of.

In this project you're able to create new posts, delete posts, rate and categorize with a search function.

AngularJS - Drinks and calories calculator

This is a project I decided to make in order to use and practice AngularJS as well as practice its integration in a typical website.

In this project you're able to select a drink, select the servings and immediately see how many units of alcohol and calories you have consumed

I also included the option for people to see how long it would take to burn off those calories with certain exercises, I feel it's easy to underestimate the amount of calories drinking can build up.

AngularJS isn't easily compatible with jQuery so it was a fun to try and work around technologies I wasn't immediately familiar with.
